I was offered the opportunity recently to be interviewed on 1 on 1, a Peninsula TV show airing on cable channel 27. The host, Dani Gasparini, and I had a good time talking about some significant San Carlos issues. And I didn’t have to end up dealing with makeup :).
The easiest way to see the interview is online at vimeo: vimeo.com/69128171
But if you want to watch it on TV, it will air three times on each of the days in the following table, at 7 AM, noon and 7 PM. There are two interviews in each airing; my segment will be either first or second depending on the day.

Mark, I was happy to see a discussion regarding the issue of artificial turf on San Carlos neighborhood parks. Also, it was very nice that you corrected the interviewers assertion that the issue involved angry people showing up in the council chambers with pitch forks (metaphorically speaking of course). Indeed, as you noted, we are very interested in working together to find a solution that both preserves natural grass in neighborhood parks and addresses the very real issue of lack of field space for competitive sports play.
I sincerely hope that when the Crestview Park renovation comes up to vote, you’ll decide that covering 80% of Crestview Park with plastic turf is not a step in the direction of finding common ground and working towards a real-long term solution for everyone. If Belmont can find a solution, I hope San Carlos can as well.
